Sonal's Poems

In this space, I write not to explain life, but to explore it. Pause with me, linger between the lines, and perhaps you’ll discover a piece of your own story here too. 🙂

About

Hi,

I’m Sonal — and for me, writing isn’t a hobby, it’s home. It’s where I feel most like myself. When I write, I meet the quiet, unfiltered version of me that everyday life often drowns out.

What you’ll read here is not a mirror of my life in its literal sense. My verses are not replicas of lived events, nor are they confessions in disguise. They are reflections — fragments of thought born from this strange, beautiful, and often bewildering journey called life.

I am deeply empathetic, and for reasons I still don’t fully understand, people often find it easy to open their hearts to me. I carry their stories gently. Somewhere along the way, those shared emotions transform — into reflections, into feelings, into words that find their way onto paper.

In a world that doesn’t always reward softness, being genuinely caring can feel exhausting. It can leave you feeling bruised, misunderstood, even drained. And yes, it hurts at times. But it has never made me want to harden. If anything, it has strengthened my resolve to remain open, honest, and kind.

This blog is my sacred little space — a place to release what quietly gathers in the corners of my heart. I don’t write after careful planning or structured contemplation. My words arrive unannounced. Some days, silence. Other days, a sudden rush — in the middle of a meeting, while doing chores, or at the most unexpected moments — and I simply pause to let the thoughts spill out. I think many who write will understand that rhythm.

Here’s to showing up, word by word.
And hopefully, to updating this space often. 🙂
