To those places and people, she finally turned her back
Her mind strong, yet heart full of emotions,
With her memories packed she finally left
With a conviction that she never knew she had!
She finally ceased to think about that and them
Had mulled too long over unimportant things
Now was the time to live the decision
She knew she was right, didn’t bother those who condemned!
As if in a trance, yet so sure
Watching her own life as a reel
So strong, and so very brave
She knew her decision was true and pure!
It took her long, every drop of courage
She knew she might be judged
And questioned and suggested
Yet she did what was needed to undo the damage!
She left where she didn’t belong
No malice, just good wishes in return
Finally, she wanted to be on her own
Finally free, to sing her own song…
