It is not easy, it is not at all pain free,

To be empathetic, to feel so deeply!

It is not easy, to give and not get,

To be the one always, to forgive and forget!

It is not easy, to deal with those who are sly,

To be the only one who ever does try!

 

It is not easy to continue spreading smiles,

To be calm and patient, while they just spread lies!

 

It is not easy to not expect in return,

To be all calm when they miss their turn!

 

It is not easy to deal with those who’re cunning,

To be silent, while getting hurt at every turning!

 

It is not easy to not get trapped,

To stay positive when all hope is scrapped!

 

It is not easy to not feel hopeless, 

To continue treading, this path of less!

 

Truly brave are those who don’t change with it,

They continue being true and hold onto their grit!
