There is no cheer in my life when you don’t talk to me

There is no joy in my stride when you don’t walk with me

There is no symphony in the songs when you don’t dance with me

There is no magic in the charm when you don’t bewilder me

There is no solace in the breeze when you aren’t there along

There is no humor in the jokes when you don’t laugh along 

There is no peace in my sleep when you don’t say good night 

There is no joy in waking up till your face shows in sunlight

Why is there so much love for you which I feel in every heartbeat?

Why this agonizing wait until we finally meet? 

Where does this glow come from whenever I hear your name?

Funny it is but what to do – hide n seek is our game!

 

Close to our hearts are few dreams which we hardly with anyone share

We live them day and night even if no one about them cares

With each breath and each heartbeat such dreams become a part of us

With passion and vigour we want to achieve them thus

What happens then when you get a clue that such dreams won’t realise

Don’t you feel your heart sink and give a damn to any advice?

You cry out in the hope that the tears will wash the pain

But the efforts to feel better all just go in vain

Wondrous it is but at such moments you find yourself all alone

In a whirlwind of emotional roller-coaster as if you’ve been callously thrown

The heart-wrenching pain that you feel is no good for people around

You feel weak and see the dark in even the sunshine that surrounds

In such moments of agony giving up is an easy thought

The precious dream that you once lived and for which you viciously fought

But such are the times when you need to dig within

Look for that spark inside you which alone can make you win

Look for that inspiring person or thought or even your faith in Lord  

Anyone who can shake you up and re-guide towards the award 

And do you know the magic pill to get you back on track? 

It is there within you, the very person from the mirror staring you back! 

Tap on the resilience that you own, be aware of your inner strength

You wouldn’t have even imagined that you could cover all those lengths

Show the courage that you possess strive for that dream again

Success comes to those who don’t give up from trying again!

Stand up for yourself even if it means standing all alone

Look at history and you’ll know that the winners always stood alone

The darkest hour of the night is always before the day breaks

So gather yourself and go for it after learning from mistakes

What glorious moment it will be when you’ll achieve what you’re made for

That long held dream when you’ll fulfill, will warm your heart’s core

Do not give up, do not fall weak, do not change your dreams

For God tests you before blessing you even to extremes! 

 

 

A healthy mean of communication
Has been made into a mode of entertainment
Many have made it their passion
Please, do not make it your obsession!

What’s the fun in communication
When replying becomes an obligation
Day commences with it and ends with it
Where is the time to introspect and comfortably sit?

Right from the good morning messages
To jokes, and some that give fits of rages
So much of free wisdom keeps floating
If followed even an iota, all will become doting!

Use a tool for the purpose meant
Futile are all those hours spent
What is the gain, what is the earning
When your constant pings leaves someone fuming!

Use it to stay in touch with those far away
With whom to meet you might have to cross a long way
Use it to reconnect and to stay in touch
With long-lost friends whom you love so much

But don’t make it a point to just be glued
As then the real fun of it becomes a feud
Time is precious as nothing can be
Don’t let it flow away just like free

It makes me wonder why so much artificiality
There are many other ways to exhibit emotionality
Many out there who need these emotions of care
Which everyone is just forwarding bare!

Reach out in real, chuck that machine
Blessed you will feel as you haven’t ever been
Use it till you know it’s not controlling you
Revive your relation with those you earlier knew!

 

 

 

I want to shout, I want to tell
I have to smile, instead I want to yell

Why do you look, why do you peer
Why do always towards me stare

You approach me even when I clearly say NO
You make me uncomfortable – do you know?

Your hello(s) and offers of help
Make me want to run away and yelp

For I know all is not well in your mind
You desire filthy and what you have in sight

I feel suffocated and choked by you
Want to hide and close all doors on you

But in this world if I have to be
I need to act brave when crazy such as you I see

Your dirty advances will leave scars plenty on me
But showing courage is what’ll set me free

I will not fear, I will not cry
I will uncover you out and dry

Let them see what you truly are
Then it’ll be you who’ll want to run away far

You’ll have to bear the consequences mister
For all those moments that you gave me bitter

I’ll wait for that time with my trust in God
When all will discover your lies and fraud

I have the power, I have the reign

This position I hold is one of gain

Where I look, is respect to say

Riches and jewels night and day

Aaaaah I am the queen!

They do what I say without a doubt

To get things, I don’t even shout

Luxury, and power abound

What I seek, I have always found

Aaaaah I am the queen!

I should be happy and I should gleam

I should thrive – to all it seems

Then why is it not so, why this gloom

Do you have any answer why this misery loom? 

Alas I am the queen!

Duty all around, no time to be ME

Always “to dos”, no time to set my heart free! 

Be so and do so they keep telling me always

No one told me pretensions would’ve to be my ways! 

Alas I am the queen! 

I’m told they look up to me so I have to be a role model

Keep a smile they tell, tears in public would be awful

Hide those giggles keep a face straight

Roll up those frets, a happy image you create

Alas I am the queen!

In your shadow I have to live, behind you I got to stay

Just do as you want and be where you say

Stay by your side, support in things you like

Will I get to do what I want – highly unlike

Alas I am the queen! 

When do I pamper my heart’s desires

When do I live the way my soul requires

If I break free, rebel I’ll be called 

Sadly then, I’ll need to live this life I appal

Alas I am the queen! 

Keeping an image which probably isn’t true

Calculated words I need to brew

Do things which they will approve

My loyalty I constantly got to prove

Alas I am the queen!

Gradually I am losing that spark within

Learnt to keep that fake smile and upheld chin

Clouded is the image of what I wish I could be 

That carefree “me” I can barely now see

Alas I am the queen! 

I am the queen, though broken within

Duty is now my only twin

I will live though have lost the battle with self

A girl who tried, but eventually lost to herself  

Alas I am the queen
