So tired of untying the endless knots

Instead YOU should’ve said – “rather not”

To things which I probably didn’t deserve

If they were for – someone else reserved

To have and still not is a bigger misery

I would rather, not have and remain free

This tryst of destiny is very strange

Not meant for me, these things in range

Beguiling it is, beyond my grasp

How come I got chained in this trap

Laughing sometimes, at what has come to

Want to start all over anew

Will YOU help me – this one time last

Make me forget the agonising past

Give me words as fresh as dew

To write a song with no residue! 

I am not the one to do chit-chat, I like to do soulful talks

A stride or two is not for me, I’m a companion for those long walks 

Friends for now and then forgotten, is not my cup of tea

A friend for me is a life-long thing, in times of need I don’t flee

When you shed tears a steady shoulder, is what you’ll find in me

A mirror to show you the truth always, an ear to listen I will be 

When you feel tired from this tedious life, I’ll help you energize

When you feel lost and confused my friend, I’ll try to give an advice wise

Will try protect you against all vices and be your helping hand

Whenever you’ll need me close and near, I’ll be there even across lands

Friends to keep and friends to care, friends for me are life

Not just in times of cheer, I stay along even in your strife

Challenging the new age concept of what has started to be known as friendship

Fake talks, matter of convenience, but behind your back you get stripped

No that is not what friends should do, not that is not we deserve

Friends for life, friends to care, your heart with them should stay preserved

And those who hurt and are double-faced, and those who tell lies

Beware – for they can betray and from them you can get surprise!

Choose your friends wisely and if you feel you’ve been wronged

Learn to get away in time, don’t let them around you throng!

In your eyes I saw the spark

In my heart you made a mark

Flutters of love in my heart you made

Your scent in me will never fade

Your voice so soothing made me yearn

Your love so enchanting I wanted to earn

In your embrace I found my peace

In my jigsaw you were the missing piece

With a smile so warm you welcomed me

Setting me free you let me be me

Listened to my childish banter

Filled me with wisdom like a mentor

You stayed along like a solid rock

Your presence in my life forever locked

Charmed by you I still feel blessed

With your magic I am still possessed

Stay where you are but remember me

Far from you, but still very close to thee!

And there I saw it again! The letter written by you to me

Though already read a thousand times, each word was as if new to see

Your perfect handwriting, your sensible choice of words

Your incomparable wisdom which I was drawn towards

It took me back in time and I found myself smiling

As I thought of you and our time, the memories started piling

Each one so crystal clear, till today I was surprised

Holding that precious paper in my hands, for long I stayed hypnotized

Before I could control, tears started to roll by

And when the present got clear around, I myself felt a bit shy

Hurriedly keeping you away, I tried to get back to now

Trying hard to ignore, the sharp pain I felt anyhow

The pain will subside the present will win, but I don’t know till when

You will come alive so vividly, just by looking at those words from your pen! 

I make a wish upon the stars keeping you in mind

I pray earnestly to God, that every happiness you find

I wish good health for you, today and every day

May smiles fill your life, bliss reaches you like HIS ray

In all that you do, may you always be the best

Never in life I hope, you’re put to a harsh test

I remember you fondly, as I write all that’s above

How I wish I was close to you, to shower you with my love

Though away, but in my heart, you’ll always be with me

Though probably they’ll never reach you, my wishes will be sent for thee

Smiling as I think of you, I pray with all my true love

With a belief that HE will, make your happiness a hundred times above! 

If you have a friend who truly cares – then life becomes a bliss

Someone who watches over you – is there for you without a miss

Someone with whom you can talk – without any filters

Say how you feel, be who you are – without any twisters

If you have this friend with you – do all to keep him close

Show no ego, have no doubt – that you can live without his honest dose

There will be many who will say things – how you would want to hear

Then all you’ll want is this honest pal – somewhere very near

For eventhough you might believe – that the words could’ve been milder

But in your heart you know for sure – they were only to make you wiser

So let me repeat at the heavy cost – of boring repetition 

To keep your honest friend with you – should be your ultimate mission

For life is a melody when you have a true friend around

So cheers to this loving relation of friendship abound

Have faith my dear these times will pass

This test will further us enhance

Have faith my dear HE will not forsake us

Just keep the trust among this ongoing fuss

This tide is high and we might drown 

If we don’t keep this faith and our strength abound

Testing times are these and in every way

But just keep going for there will be day

I know this is a turbulent flight

We got to hold on very tight

A little mistake might cost us dear

We might lose all, this is the fear

The darkest hour is one before dawn

Our deepest courage we need to tap upon

Just got to hold on and do our best

Upon HIS will, we should leave the rest

Sure I am that those who are righteous

Always see at the end brightness

So just keep yourself strong and your heart pious

Victory will appear which is currently sightless

Hand in hand, together we shall

Overcome challenges with high morale

Praying along for HIS blessings

We’ll wade across second by second

So keep up the faith, and keep your calm

We’ll walk this mile arm in arm

Don’t lose your smile and just remember

We have it in us to hold this ember!

Only love is real, it is what makes our heart beats

It is what fuels us, never put it on backseat

Love deserves its special place in everybody’s life

For it sets heart on fire, yes, it makes us feel alive

Let it flow through you, let it warm your heart

Just give in to the amazing feeling, let love  play its art

Not only for humans, love does it magic on all

For nature, pets, you name it – love might for anything befall

It consumes us totally, makes us nearly blind

But magically sometimes, a new us also we find

Make love help you grow, see the broader side of it

With love for those around, you can make everyone fit

Love is what’s needed in this world of today

Where hatred for each other, leaves no place for another ray

Let love rule our hearts, let love remove the jealousy

Let there be only compassion, with no place for treachery

Imagine what a world, it would be to live in

Where there’ll be no hatred, only bonhomie and grins

Towards that world, let love lead us to

Let love be our guide in whatever we do

Only love is real, yes truly it is

For it reaches where it should without any miss

Crossing oceans or lands, or even many lifetimes

It continues to spread warmth, until we hear its chimes!
